What Hevy gets right
Hevy is a genuinely good workout tracker. Fast logging, fast generation, and unlimited logging even when it's still free. Gives you three months of history and comes with a social feed. Hevy's training-in-public features make it stand out from simpler, more bare-bones alternatives like MyFitnessPal (for nutrition).
And it works on both iOS and Google Play.
HOWEVER, it's just workouts. It stays pretty simple without offering progression (except with Hevy Trainer, which is more expensive), and has no particularly useful feature that advances your training alongside your nutrition, which leaves half the work of achieving a great body out of scope.
APEX does both: it offers a well-designed nutrition system that works alongside your training + adapts as you make progress.
